Hello from Englandland!

'ello. I'm a 28 year old guy from the midlands, over in the UK.

Passed my test almost 3 years ago, after spending many years with many cars(some slow, some very fast, some very comfortable), but lost all interest in them after doing my motorcycle test. Fell in love with the idea of motorcycles back in 1992, when I was at school. Every summer from 1997 or so, I'd always hanker for a bike on those long, sunny evenings... eventually pulled my thumb out when I was in my mid-20s, and had a good few years road experience under my belt. Without any crashes, speeding fines, etc.

Have a nice 1990 VFR750, but a little old lady drove into me on a roundabout, so I'm on a hirebike Bandit 650.

Plan to buy the VFR back from the insurance company and use it without plastics for rainy days(I've ridden every day for nearly 3 years now), and get another bike for fairer weather.

Have always had a soft spot for the very early(1993) 893 Blade. However, time has been far kinder to the foxeye 1995 facelift, so if I end up with a 'Blade then I'll likely hunt out a white, red and blue foxeyed model.

Not dead-set on a FireBlade yet though. Have always fancied a ZZR1100, or ZX1100 to you folks over the pond. I guess I'll just have to wait for the insurance to cough up, and see what takes my fancy at the time. Always fancied a second RC36 to overhaul and spray in RC30 colours - but keeping the RC36 plastics. But that idea does seem a little pointless, seeing as there are other bikes I've always fancied, and I'm used to the VFR - and even more-so considering I plan on keeping my accident-damaged one!

Merry Christmas all! Hope 2008 brings you all good luck. Turned out to be rather a long thread... I'm just a friendly chap who is looking for a new home on the internet .

Re: Hello from Englandland!

Thankyou.

Lovely atmosphere you seem to have here. Lots of friendly banter and useful threads at the same time. And over such a diverse range of machines!

Think I might be here for a while.
