flashing red light @ 6000rpm

hi there all.
Ive have recently brought a 929 blade but i am getting a red flashing light at 6000 rpm upwards ive been to the bike shop but they are not sure what the problem is and said if i want it looking at it could cost hundreds to try and sort it or they told me to place a piece of black tape over the flashing light but i know this is not the answer but this is not affecting the bike as i am aware but i just need peace of mind or if anybody has had this problem please help me

Welcome aboard Wayne. Do you know what light it is? Eg. oil, temp, FI. Must be a symbol next to the light. We can go from there wayne.

Can you go into more detail about the light, what light is it? Maybe if you cant describe it, a picture would be nice.

the red light just comes on, on its own there are no FI,OIL or TEMP lights displayed on the screen just this one as i said it flickers on/off @6000 rpm and stays on constant above that i will show you a picture of the light but without the engine running so the oil light will be on but you cannot see that very well (crap camera) so at the mo the the red light will be on constant
