Hi Guys

Long story short!

I bought a 1999 Honda 900 RR fireblade at an auction, with some cosmetic damage, hoping for a quick resale to fuel some of on other bike projects.

After some money; time and lot of TLC she is looking really sweet and I am seriously considering keeping her, at Hough risk of divorces!!

She starts with the first swing , but I am having some trouble engaging the gears , at first when I tried 1St or 2nd she would slam into gear and stall , I then ran her downhill and engaged 2nd , no joy.

Now when I shift gears I can fell the gears changing but there is no engagement, it feels like the clutch is no letting go, the bike has stood for over a year.

Please any suggestions would be welcome; I would love to take her for a long burn.

Only joking, ive heard nothing but bad things about the fireblades gear boxes, seems to be a heritage problem??

There might be an earlier post/thread about the gears/clutches etc.

Hope you find the problem, would hate for summer to come with no bike. Have any pictures of her??
