Hello from MO

Hi all! Glad to find your forum and I look forward to reading many good posts and submitting a few. I recently renewed an interest in the Honda 350 Scramblers. Was never able to afford one when they were new. So now, I want to find out about them and hopefully find (and buy) a nice solid one. The kind of info I'm looking for right now is:
1)What did each model year look like (all chrome exhaust or partly painted, badges, etc.)? Hope to find photos to download
2)What should I expect to find in need of repair or reconditioning on one of these machines?
3) Are there certain parts that are hard to find?
4) Are some parts quite expensive?
5) Where can a person find a reference of serial numbers vs. year of manufacture?

As you can see, I am a newbie and am looking for direction and general information. If there are other forums that would be more appropriate, please let me know.....tx........semaj

Re: Hello from MO

I remember those 350 scramblers well. Nice bikes. My brother bought a new one and rode it for several years. I had a Honda Super Hawk back then.

Re: Hello from MO

i have one i'm in the mood to sell...ground up restored..1800miles..71 model..drop me a line and i'll send pix(you can see one picture of it in the gallery)..all CL's had chrome exghst and the pipes mounted high on the left..the CL350(k1-K5) was an off shoot of the 305 that started in 65...by 75 they had become the 360...resale prices vary widely..most based on miles and condition..the badges didn't change much but the stipes and color combos did(every year infact). the most problematic thing on a bike this old is the wiring becomes very brittle..that and people didn't store the things the way they should have(tank a quarter full, carbs not drained..etc.)
