| Nine Five Four... Hi all,
Just picked up this '03 last week... Took it for a break-in ride last weekend... Absolutely loving every minute after not riding for about a year... Will clean it up and finish updating my gear this weekend...
No need for life stories, though! Just wanted to pop in and say 'hello!'
Here are some pics! |

Ride HARD and be SAFE | The Titanium/Black is a very nice colour, any reason for the stickers to be off and the mid panels being black?
Think it would look better beinge one colour but looks nice anyway...
Keep it on two wheels..

Keep it on two wheels.. | well there are not many 954's in my area that is dominated by GSXR's i like the two color's and as far as the stickers i think that i am goin to add my own on there i know what it is and anyone who is really a rider would also
I found a company that makes High Quality vinyl stickers with a Five YR warranty also you can modd or make ur own i was thinking that the white one would look good PUNISHER DECALS |

| Re: Nine Five Four... Thanks all! My name is Chris, btw... should have put that in my sig, I guess! Ha!
I was off of two wheels for a year because I was burned out on Los Angeles commuting. At the time, I had no car and just the bike. A Miata cut me off in the rain, the front tire washed out at 3 miles an hour and I slowly "lowered" the bike down. No damage other than a bruised ego because of frame sliders and my adrenaline hauling on the bike to stop it from falling. lol... I had had enough, though, so I sold the bike to my uncle, who now uses it as a dedicated track bike. It was a '99 CBR600 F4.
The bug bit me a few weeks ago, though, so I had to have a new/used bike. I've been riding dirt or road since about 6 years old, so taking a year break didn't make me forget too much, apparently. I'm already getting comfy on the 954 and can't wait to get it on the track in the next two months! The RR is intended to be 75% track, 25% street to keep the experience fun and less aggravating for me!
Hitman, you have a good looking bike, too, man! Congrats! And congratulations to Twincam, too!
As for goodies on this one: - 15K miles, but fully serviced by known previous owners
- 2 years left on full dealer extended warranty
- Akropovic slip-on
- Scotts steering damper
- Frame sliders
- Stock plate holder chop and raise
It has some Bridgestone BattleAxe tires that are okay, for now. They'll be swapped for some Pilots or Corsa III's soon because these BA's seem to get awfully greasy feeling when hot. Maybe it's just me, so I'm going to try them a bit more before swapping out, but the reviews I've read have similar comments.
Phew! Long post! |

| Re: Nine Five Four... Oops! I thought TwinCam had also gotten his bike around the same time as mine... lol... Well, congrats, anyways!
And to respond to the "break-in" question: I was the one getting broken in... heh... I figured a highway ride was a good way for me to get used to the bike and riding again after the year break. Now, I feel comfortable again and am itching for a trackday!

| Re: Nine Five Four... Twincam i Dude i just thought of something i should paint my bike one color i mean i could paint it a Brighter Yellow (kinda hard to do) and then get a yellow and Black riding gear and we could go and start a club and everyone has to have the same paint color and black and yellow gear
oh we could be called the "Wasps" or "Bumble Bees"(na too Gay) oh i got it
"The Yellow Jackets" lookn like a Swarm of bees coming down the road Deal ??? |

haha
I dont know why, but IMO bikes look better as one colour - thats why i left mine straight yellow when getting the panels sprayed (Tank has still a bit of dark purple as it didnt need spraying) + the decals were way to expensive.
Wasps sound nice, but the Hornets are called the wasps..
Btw, are we going to be international?

| Re: Nine Five Four... I think im gonna agree with Hitman and say that the M3s are amazing!! My bike had some dunlops on it when i go it....and the first thing i did was put on some new M3s. They work soooooo well in cold weather, and dont take long to warm up at all....and once theyre warm, they arent leavin' the ground.

i'm looking into alarms and rear wheel locks for when i'm travelling, but haven't decided on anything, yet...
reality is that unless they have alarms that electrocute people, now, no alarm is that great against a thief with a van and a knowledge of the top alarms or how to pull the battery out in a hurry... theft insurance is the best option, at the moment and i've got it...
and thanks for the compliment! |

dude i rode on those in Jan and Feb in Virgina!!! | First off, Hitman. Secondly, I've just gone over to Bridgestones from "Dunnies". Couldn't agree with you more, Dunnies are absolutely bloody horrible! I ended up buying a buddha's good luck season ticket when I was using mine. They reminded me of British Rail. When it's wet its the wrong kind of rain so they spin and slide, | |
