| Blade virgin Hi - just purchased my first Honda, a blade RR3, after secretly coveting one for years. Everything they say is true - sublime handling, usable power and day long comfort - I should know, I rode it 450 miles to get it home to Ireland in two days. Have signed up for my first track based training session and can't wait for some summer fun. A great bike with great looks and impressive build quality, so I don't feel the urge to dress it up like a tart's handbag.
Anyway - hi to everyone - pic of my baby attached. Ride safe. |

| Re: Blade virgin Thanks ldavis. Im trying to decide which one to get. Either the 954 or 1K... I've heard nothing but good things about the 954. I used to have a 929, so I as always in teh neighborhood. I was considering the 1K for the power increase. I've test driven the 04 model when it first came out in 04. I wasnt impressed in comparison to my 929. What is your opinion? |

| Re: Blade virgin Thanks for the appreciation folks. The RR3 designation just implies a 2003 blade - it's a 954cc model - the best looking version imho??
Greetings to you all in the States. |

| Re: Blade virgin The 954 is a great bike, I went from an 05 600RR to the 03 954. the 600 was a fantastic bike, I was just tired of being left in the straights.. if you are looking at the 1kRR I would really look at the 06-07. the 04 was the first year into the 1k, and while it was a great bike, the major changes were made on the 06 model.. you can find an 06 for not much more than the 04, and if you find one that's well taken care of you'll be in love. best of luck.. |

| Re: Blade virgin but as for the 954, if you find a good deal like i did on a low mileage one, all it really needs is a steering damper... there are a couple listed on here that are really a great deal... plus the 954 is not as "run of the mill" as the 1k.. everyone has a 1k.. just my |

| Re: Blade virgin I hear the 1k is a bit more hardcore and focussed - if that describes your riding style then go for it. Personally, never had a headshake on the 954 - maybe I'm just not trying hard enough. |
