Hello from England

Hello everyone. I passed my motorcycle test just 18 months ago at the grand old age of 36 and bought a CBR 600RR shortly afterwards. It's been a great bike used all year round commuting and many 1000+ mile round trips to France without missing a beat, a testament to Honda build quality.
Remaining loyal to the marque I've decided it's time to upgrade to the Fireblade and the new '08 has finally grown on me.
The only downside is the fact that I will have to part with the best part of $18,600 for the privelage here in Britain, which is why I'm considering the possibility of importing one into the UK from a Honda dealer in the states.
Can anyone tell me if there are any specification differences between US and UK bikes this time around (with the exception of C.A. state) and is the Honda warranty carried worldwide irrespective of product origin ?
Thanks Jenko.

I passed my test in Feb this year at the age of 40.. I had decided that 20 odd years as a pillion was quite enough and it was about time I had my own bike so I could go play as well...
I love my bike.. I have a CBR400RRN (I'm a skinny short a**e!!!) and as 1st 'big' bike she is perfect for me
