how to repair lower fairing

Hello new to bikes just bought my second bike 04 600RR. The lower left fairing is chipped behind the front screw so the fairing slips of the screw and rattles, the backing for the screw apears only to be a rubber piece that I can't loosen the screw out of. Also rear screw appears to have been over tighten and there are pressure cracks. What would be the best way to repair this?

IMO... the cheap way would be to drill a new hole in the botom fairing that is cracked and zip tie it with a black tie.

You could try an putting a rubber type washer or grommet around the side screws but it would be dangerous if you think the fairing could vibrate off. again you could drill a small hole in the sides and ziptie for safty. But it would look pretty busch league.

Best bet is to buy used fairing off ebay or ask around to see if someone converted their CBR to a race bike and see if they want to sell their stock parts.

I've used it.... but it would require a hell of alot of patience. Especially on such a pretty bike. I'll see if I can find some pictures of my patchwork.

plastex works pretty good.
