new 954 owner

Hey

Just wanted to say that I am the new owner of a 02 954 and so far I love it. Got it off the original owner who is an aircraft mechanic, its mint, very well cared for and absolutely beautiful. Its my third bike and also first bike over 600cc. Tons of power and it handles really well. After a couple weeks of feeling the bike out I couldnt help but see how it wheelies (on a closed road) and I cant belive how easily the front comes up. I dont intend on stunting the hell out of it but the occasional wheelie will definately take place. It came up quicker than I thought and I let right off the throttle, came down hard and blew a fork seal. Hopefully will be replacing it tomorrow. Never done it before but I think I can handle it, got lots of tools and half a brain. If it goes well I will share my experience. Good to be here.

Litre bikes have no shortage of power, you should see the latest generation.

Just keep both wheels on the ground, it is more fun. The Blade is meant to be a surgical instrument in the twisties.

Re: new 954 owner

I had thought about buying a bike for stunting, but when I saw my new bike I knew it was way too nice to abuse like that. It was love at first sight. Like I said, the occasional wheelie. And yes it is surgical, very well put.
