can anyone help?

I have a 99 blade which when filled to the brim with petrol and ridden hard for 4-5 miles, cuts out, as if starved of fuel. When trying to start the bike again it doesn't fire but just winds over. However, if I release the fuel cap and leave for a few minutes it starts hesitantly but once running is perfect. This only happens when it is filled to the brim with petrol. Has anyone got any ideas for things to try to rectify this problem. Cheers!

Re: can anyone help?

can only be the breather pipe - it must be blocked, you can get to it ver easy if u take the tank off, slip the rubber pipe off and blow it out, then check the pipe from the tank itself.

those tanks rust if left standing too long - check it out also, I dont know if there is an inline filter on your bike "fit one if not" its a handy thing to have, very easy to install.

thats my 2 cents - hope it helps.

Re: can anyone help?

Welcome

Maybe you could save yourself a lot of bother by keeping the tank nearly empty and only going on short rides
