Hello....Again

Back on the list after a 3 year absence. Had a 929, sold it. Bought a new 1krr in '05, it was stolen 8 months ago. haven't had much chance to ride since I got out of the Navy, so didn't replace it right away. Now, I've gone and bought an '03 RC51, a bike I've always wanted anyway. Still not gonna be riding much, since I'm working in the middle east as a private contractor. So, since the bike will be sitting, am going to do some serious upgrades. Already ordered carbon kevlar tank and bodywork. Wheels are next, followed by suspension, brakes and finally engine work.

Welcome back. Sounds like you have some plans for the RC51. Where abouts in middle east are you?

In the UAE I see. Little warm there too? I'm around Iraq and Afghanassville. Can't really get too specific. Playing in the big sandbox.
And yes, I do have some silly plans. Will be ordering wheels tonite. Still haven't decided which way I'm going there, brand wise. Want to keep it under $3k for both if I can. Really like OZ, but not sure if they are still building a wheel for th RC. I'm gonna end up putting way more than I should in a honda, should just step up and get a used 999r, but this way the sticker shock is spread over a few months, instead of $18-20k right off the bat.
