First Goldwilng

Hi everyone. I have just bought my first Goldwing . 1987 GL 1200, It's an oldy but a goody as far as I can tell. I've only put about 300 Km on it so far. The one thing that I want to fix though is the tach. I can get by without it, but as it's there, I would like it to work. It's a digital dash with tach, speed, heat, and gas included. Any suggestions on where to start with troubleshooting? Thanks

Re: First Goldwilng

I also bought an 83 Gl1100 last season to ride the Mrs. around on. The thing bit me on the six this winter though, needed a carb rebuild that cost me $700. Ouch! Runs good now, and even with the mechanics bill was a reasonable deal. No suggestions on yours, mine is low tech in comparison. Good luck.
