Hey all,
I just wanted to introduce myself since i am about to be a proud owner of an '08 Fireblade, which to be honest scares me a bit. Not because I've never ridden before (been riding on and off now for about 12 years), but because I am finally stepping up to the liter bikes from 600's and 750's (Ive owned a 1996 GSX-R 750 and a 2004 GSX-R 750).

I am currently in my second enlistment in the US Navy, stationed in San Diego (the land of year round riding weather). I love the twisties and i have ridden Willow Springs a few times on track days back in 2004.

Its weird to be wanting a Honda as bad as I do right now, Ive ridden a few 600's and even the 954 and never really got excited about them, no offense to anyone riding these bikes but they were just too smooth. Now all of a sudden Honda drops this Fireblade and everyone I know whos ridden one swears by it. Also I love the new look. It just sucks that my dealer doent have a tester available for me to "test"

So hopefully by the end of next week I'll be among the "living" again and maybe I'll run into some of you guys in the future.
