Hi All...ZX10R racer now Honda converted.

Hey All!

I've been away from Honda since 1985 and have ridden and/or raced pretty much everything from A to Z since.

After racing (club level) superbikes for several years I had a chance to try out the new 2008 Honda CBR1000RR next to it's 2008 rivals. I've always been anti-Honda when it comes to motorcycles, I've always respected the bikes but would never ride them outside of a few laps or a short street ride. I use to consider the Honda the "Buick" of the motorcyle world until I rode this new machine.

Anyhow, needless to say, I love the 08. So much so, I've since converted many other non-Honda riders to try out the new bike and most have made the jump since. My bike was worn in hard and was at the drag strip with les than 300kms and was at the roadrace track the next day. I have zero issues and no oil problems like some seem to have. The bike works flawlessly out of the box and I couldn't be happier. My ZX10R race prepped machines were in excess of 180 rwhp...this new RR is easily on par with speed and performance without the big HP numbers. Best "out of the box" machine I've ever ridden.

Here's a track day photo from a few days ago.

Thank goodness you have learned the Wisdom of the HondaOwner. I love my 1988 and 1998 "Buicks".

Let me offer a welcome and a belated Happy Canada Day greeting to you.

Hehe, ok...there's a few Buicks I love too. My race mechanic has a minty 1987 Grand National that is a lot of fun in a straight line.

Thanks for the Canada Day greeting as well...the same to you!

I have a friend that flies Gulfstreams in your neck of the woods.
