New kid on the block !!

Hi y'all.....

Just gotten a mint '98 Blade black & silver...Blade virgin ya know B4 I had 4 aprilia Mille's, 1 Hayabusa & 1 Benelli TNT..!!

Love the looks of the Blade & always wanted one...job done.

Opinions: I think the rear end needs attention...a bit bulbous now
also I'm finding the footpegs very cramped I'm 6ft so not that tall.

Apart from that I'm a happy Blader & proud to be a part of such an iconic biking legend.

Argh yes one quick question: I've got a micron can on the bike & I wanna cut it down but there doesn't seem to be any rivets !! Any ideas..?

Any suggestions 'bout above please feel free to chip in I'd appreciate it.

Bubs.

About the can - If its anything like mine, you will have a problem trying to make your own holes for rivets - How about checking ebay for a rashed can where you can chop it?

Have you any idea how they managed to get the end to stay on atm? - maybe its like glued?

Where abouts in Essex are you?

The Micron can is a good can don't get me wrong, but it can't be modified easily.
Im only in Goodmayes (turn off the A12 near King Georges Hospital) - Shows how small the world is.
Take care

Re: New kid on the block !!

D.Know what the prolem is locating holes for rivets...However any aircraft Mechanic supply store on the internet will sell a little tool called a hole finder and they are available in a variety of lengths, all you have to do is slide the hole finder under the top piece of material be it Carbon Fiber, Aluminum or whatever and line it up with the hole in the bottom piece of material( it has a nipple that will fall right into the hole below) and drill through with your standard Cobalt Bit........Easy as Pie
