Picked up a 96 CBR 600F3 for a first bike here in early June. Haven't pried myself from the seat for more than a couple days since. Used the gas mileage excuse to rationalize buying it (44MPG vs 14MPG I get commuting in my 01 Tahoe) but I've been eying bikes since a buddy picked up his 95 F3 about 4 years ago. Motorcycle market has gotten insane up here this year - there isn't a clean older bike (for that matter not even many beat up older bikes) to be found and I was lucky enough to stumble upon this one - exactly the bike and exactly the price I was looking for (and half the price of some other similar bikes I was looking at).
Picked it up with just shy of 9700 miles on it and I'm just guilty of right around 1000 new miles since. It's been set down on both sides prior to me picking it up causing very minimal blemishes and it looks like the tail was replaced or repainted at one time - otherwise this bike is mint (not a single crack in the plastics).
A couple quick dirty pics from a couple weeks after I bought it.

Pulled all but the upper fairing off it a couple weeks ago and gave it a bath but unfortunately it was soon ravaged by bugs and a rogue blob of pigeon crap.
On a side note, this is my first bike

Paid for it and had it in my garage before I ever rode it. I was leary about buying it at first but figured I could flip it and make money on it - but I'm hooked. Been doing some thinking on whether I freshen up this one or look at a newer one for next year.
