Hello. My name is Bill. I stumbled onto this site while doing a little research on a Honda dealer from whom I was contemplating a purchase. I liked the style of the site and the participants, so I signed up.
I'm old (53) and have been street riding continuously since I was 14. I currently have four motorcycles, two of which are Hondas (1999 VTR 1000 and 2008 CBR600RR). I got into track days about five years ago and am hooked pretty bad (the reason for buying the RR).
I live in Connecticut. I ride year-round, but most of my miles are from April to November. I ride 6-7k miles a year, mostly local, but take at least one week-long trip every year with my wife and riding partner of 34 years. I also do a four-day the "Long Way to Laconia" trip every year with a group of riding buddies.
My favorite local riding is in Duchess County, NY, just west of the CT state line.

Loudon in NH and Pocono in PA. Both are about 210 miles from my home.
This year I'll be doing a few days at New Jersey Motorsports Park, which my friends tell me is truly spectacular. I'll be there April 25 & 26 for my first track days of 2009. Can't wait!

Cool! I've been to Loudon, Pocono, and both NJMP courses. I like both courses, but Thunderbolt is their signature course. It's longer, more technical. Are you riding Thunderbolt or Lightning?
I ride with NESBA and Absolute Cycles. If you do a day with either of them, lemme know, I may be there!  | |

For now I'm signed up with Team Pro-Motion for Thunderbolt. But my choice of track day dates is driven by my schedule more than the sponsor, so I'll do a day or so with pretty much anybody.
Speaking of sponsors, though, an outfit called "Tony's Track Days" is now doing days at NJMP. Give them a try if you haven't already - they are a first-class outfit.

Yup, I've heard of Tony's. Never did a day with them, but I'd consider it. I'm really happy with NESBA and Absolute.
