| Hi, I'm newb to here I've been riding for years, haven't owned a honda sportbike yet, have had several honda old-skoolies (3 - 4 CB750 single & twin cam models), CR500s (can't beat that power), I even restored a wrecked VT1100 and had it for quite a while. I'll get a honda sportbike sometime, right now my main sportbike is an 05 Turbo'd Busa with a single sided swingarm and various other mods. I use it for my avatar on other boards, just joined here, so not sure yet if I am going to be a paying subscriber here. |

| Re: Hi, I'm newb to here Which one? Lol,
The ZX900A has spark on one coil, not the other, replaced coil, same thing, I bought a set of pulse coils, hoping its as simple as replacing parts lol.
The Husqy probably needs a bigger piston & matching bore
88 XR600 I just need to split the cases and inspect & re-align the shift drum and that hopefully will kill its ill.
That's just the bikes - I got all caught up in the hydrogen on demand from water projects a couple years ago, still working on my setups there, just not as feverishly since gas prices went down.
I also have a set of plans to turn a Turbo into a Jet engine. My turbo cost me the price of shipping and its a Komatsu KTR110A that has fought me every step of the way on the breakdown for rebuilding it... can anyone help me find a rebuild kit? Having a hard time finding one of those too. |

| Re: Hi, I'm newb to here Thanks for all the warm welcomes...update on the ZX900A - I replaced the pickup coils after discovering that there was only spark on one coil and replacing a coil with one that ohmed out in spec. Now the petcock is leaking...
Just a little background, when I bought this bike it was stripped down pretty good because the previous owner was thinking about doing a total engine rebuild. I put it back together as best as I could using the Clymer manual that covers the ZX900A, ZX10A, ZX10B, ZX11C, ZX11D models. The one thing that might still be going wrong after taking care of the petcock may be the cam timing. At least the price was right for all this work lol. |

| Re: Hi, I'm newb to here Update - pickup coils replaced, have spark all around, now it acts like it kinda wants to start but just backfires...next step rebuild petcock before re-addressing cam timing...lol, learning a lot with this unit. |

| Re: Hi, I'm newb to here Petcock (seriously who named the fuel valve?) has been rebuilt, carbs are loaded with gas, still wont run...next step is to check the cam timing...dangit |
