| Kawasaki A7R roadracer replica If anyone on this site knows of an existing A7R I would like to hear frrom them. So far I have a factory chrome frame from Germany, factory top end from Netherlands, factory front end off ebay, factory seat, tank, fairing from Moto Tumbi in Australia (beautiful workmanship), and Isle of Man era A7R exhaust from ABCON exhaust from England, and factory copy of billet rotary valves. I do not know of any A7R's in America. I understand only thirty were made, none sold, just shipped to dealers around the world to promote their 1967 Avenger 350. I am 73, a vintage road racer and want to take the bike to Daytona for the 2006 races. At present my road racer is a 1969 Ossa 250 and there is not a 250 vintage single in America that can touch it.Not with me on it but the young (40) rider that does ride it for me. 38 plus rear wheel horsepower and 12400 rpm makes it a rather incredible machine. The porting genius who prepared it is going to port the A7R and is looking for at least 60 hp at the rear wheel. Should be an interesting project and I want it to be as authentic as possible so would like to physically inspect an actual A7R and talk to someone who has ridden or has one. Many thanks, Gaylord in Maine |
