| Wild hair I have one and thinking about selling my FJR to do something stupid. I was surfing around the other day and saw the Muzzy site. The ZX12 has always been a favorite bike of mine since I rode my buddies a couple years ago. I want to find a ZX12 that is a couple years old with less than 5k miles on it in very good condition. Next its time for a winter project. Im gonna call it Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Gonna tear it down and order the Muzzy 1270 big bore kit for it at a bargain price of 1899 dollars. It should be good for 190 hp give or take a few. I know you can only use so many hp on the street but I love tinkering with bikes and this appears to be a really easy project. If I happen to get too far in over my head I just happen to know a fellow who is really good with Kawis.
Anyone know of similar bikes or someone who has done this? I have already read every post on the ZX12 forum. How about some input please? |

| Re: Wild hair If chain didn't get back to you yet, I think you should buy my minty mint zx10 and give me your FJR, we can call it a square trade and you can give me the zx10 back when you get sick of modding it to hell

| Re: Wild hair Check with Superbike Mike, he has done some ZX12s that look, smell and taste stock, yet put out upwards of 270 HP. Or you can get crazy with billet heads etc. and get into the 300s.
Mike has run 203+ MPH on a client's ZX11 on pump gas. |

| Re: Wild hair Ive been sleeping on this one for a while, about 2 years to be exact. I want to stay N/A as well and keep it completely streetable. A friend has several old ZX7s like the one I used to own as a racebike. One of them puts down about 165 at the rear wheel. I figure he might have some insight as to getting some extra HP out of 1200 ccs. Just gotta sell the FJR now. Anyone want a mint condition 05 ABS with less than 3500 miles? |

Jeezus.
Want one.
Maybe it's just because I read too many Sport Rider UFO competitions back in the day... |

| Re: Wild hair I love the zx12 also in the way they ride. If I got one though I would probably have to do some cosmetic work cause I don't like the styling. |
