Beware When Buying Online

I recently bought online(KTM), everything was done via the web & the phone. Photos were exchanged and I ran every check I could think of, I ran Google searches on the guys name, I rang him at his office and his home, did a company search on his place of employment, checked his facebook page. Then I paid a company to run a pre purchase inspection on the bike to make sure it was exactly as represented. Everything went like clockwork for me and I got a good deal. Since then I've spoken to quite a few people who have been burned or know someone who has been burned buying cars and things online. There are a lot of scams, they take photos of mint condition cars and then sell you a dog, more than once the freight company I dealt with had turned up to find there never was a motorcycle after money had changed hands. When it works out it's great but with anything online please do your homework people.

Totally in agreement with you on that man. And let's not forget, watch out for the scammers who are after nothing more than your information!
