I need to sell my baby since work is so slow.
2000 CBR929 Yellow/black with 30+ miles.
The bike had one previous owner who was a honda bike technician at a large powersports dealer here and how I have known for years. He is an adult and took very good care of it. The bike has never been damaged, wrecked or abused.The bike is in excellent shape, you will not find one nicer or more mechanicly sound.
I have added: pazo lavers, Hypertech RSC damper, Harris grips, frame and bar sliders, new upgraded (forget the company) rear rotor, Powder coated wheels, rear sets and controls, GP shift pattern, Smoke screen, Hindle short and wrapped full exhaust with programmer (fast Card just like the juice box, Friend here helped develop the juice box and the other versions of this) Matching seat cowl (have rear seat) Mototeck undertail, Braided and coated brake lines, custom rear wheel covers made of carbon fiber, Stainless tapered polished bolts all over, Powder coated black fairing screws. Billet 1/4 turn fuel cap, Thurn motorsports exhaust hanger, BMC air filter, Free mods done.
I just put 3K into service on the bike. All new wheel bearings, valve adj, fluids, head bearing adj, dynoing and the forks were rebuilt totally racetech with springs and gold valves, Colder fan switch (turns fan on at 195)
Also has a brand new chain and sprockets (have stock size rear Renthal sprocker and +2 rear Vortech black sprocket) gearing is -1 / +2
The bike is beautiful and in excellent condition. I am a master auto tech and take good care of my stuff.

My buddy has an 07 CBR1000 with full pipe and programmer and BMC filter. It makes 156 rear wheel and I loose no ground to him.

I have no place to keep the bike just got an 05 R1 and times are tight so I have to sell this so make an offer. Since I have to list a price I will say $6000
but I will listen to any offers.

I did not get any interest on my 954 with mods new tires less than half the miles of your bike and the price was less ... economy sucks right now and not many people have $$$ for toys.

Try reducing your asking price, even if you have OBO listed.

not worth it to sell it for less. The milage really means nothing its just a hang up people have and the bike is in great shape and worth every penny. If it does not sell I'll just keep it and maybe try later.

I actually decided to keep it after about a month. Like you said, there's a price you are willing to accept, and if no one is willing to pay it, you are way better off keeping your passion!

There may be newer, faster bikes. But, we've both prolly put lots of time and money into our machines.

So, keep it, enjoy it, and ride safe !!

You'd have a much bigger market if you put it back to stock and sell the other parts seperately. Not many people want what you like in a bike so the more individual you make it the smaller the interested market.
Are stock 929's selling for $6000?

Doom I would gladly give you $6000 for your 929 if I only had the money right now. I originally had an 01 929 when I was in Okinawa but couldn't afford the shipping costs so I had to sell it. But I have been saving up and finally just bought a 00 929, unfortunately it is still stock and I don't have anywhere near the money to fix it. But you have a sweet bike that should easily sell for what you have done to it considering 929's stock still can pull between 5000 and 5500. good luck.

Thanx man :o) It is well worth the price the timing is just bad. I hate to sell it because I sold my GSXR that was one of a kind and the kid destroyed it.

I would put it to stock but then I have to worry about selling all the parts on top of the bike. Besides It includes the parts so if they buy it they can do it themselves and I am charging the same as if the bike was stock but you get all the upgrades.

Under normal riding NO but when you wind it up and are being hard on the lever you can feel it bites sooner and with less travel.

I have had the bike maybe 2 years. I bought it from the Honda bike mechanic at our powersports dealer and he owned it from new. He is an adult and rides easy so the bike has never been abused.

Nice bike but good luck selling it. I've been trying to sell mine since October for less money and can't even get a bite. I even ran it in the Cycle Trader and didn't even get a phone call on it.
