World SuperStock!

Considering these teams are run on a minimal budget, it really shows the quality of the bike and it's design.

Well, if that makes you feel better about that overweight, underpowered GSXR-wannabe that you're riding...

first place is almost a second quicker than the gix in third, thats pretty damn good. we'll have to see how it goes in an actual race though.

I can't believe the MVs met homologation minimums for a superstock class. They must have lowered the minimum retail unit production numbers as Ducati had problems a few years back getting the numbers high enough to run the 748 in superstock.

Was it the 748, or was it the 748RS?

I don't follow the rules, so I don't know if there have been changes...

From what I have been told (not verified due to lack of interest on my part), the RS is a replica of the World SS 748 (which was a homologated production machine developed to the umm "slightly looser" WSS rulebook).

The point in homolgation is usually a large cash influx in the form of event sponsorship along with at least 500 units manufactured for every country the events are run in. There were at least 3 countries the bike wasn't even sold in, thus the problem . . .
