Thats what most do over here, only put the rack on when needed.

If I had to ride a Harley Ferguson around instead of putting a removable rack on my Sports bike now and then I'd have given bikes away a long time ago.

Re: Why ?

I have a renntec for my 08 blade i also had a givi box fitted to it, when the box was full it handled like a pig but man did it wheelie!!! The ventura system is prob better as u can have the extra weight over the rear seat which would handle better. As for the looks ive seen better scafolding!!

If I need storage for a trip, I'll back pack it and or use a luggage locker.

Its easy as ABC (123 ) - unscrew the two allen key bolts on the outside of the tail, pop the seat up, unscrew the two bolts under the seat, line up the grab rail and re-attach the bolts. Took me about five mins to put it on.

Although mine is a grab rail, rentec also made one with a added tray (welded on).

Re: Why ?

Saw a red 954 with what looked like a Ventura rack and bag on it yesterday morning on the way to work. Looked OK with the bag on, just like soft luggage really.

Re: Why ?

I own an MV and I don't think the dealer would have sold him the bike
if they knew he or her was going to do that to it ....I understand the practicality of it but there is nothing practical about an MV that's what
makes them so much fun
