2008 Yamaha YZF-R125 - Photos and Specifications

Designed by the same team who gave us the R6 and R1 the new YZF-R125 shares its larger sister’s performance and sports styling. Its all new engine with its longer stroke, designed to give more torque than comparable 125cc motorcycles, can crawl at a walking pace with the clutch fully engaged but is still able to reach 80mph in 6th.
Aimed primarily at the younger novice rider market, young riders going up to a 125cc geared bike at 17 as well as young twenty-somethings, the bike is also a good alternative for those seeking a cheaper sporty looking daily commute. Selling at just under £3000 the bike comes with basic suspension with controlled damping, a steel frame, brembo brakes, a GP styled exhaust and bodywork inspired by the R6.

very nice bikes,
I work for yamaha, and I have to give these pre delivery inspections all the time.
They look really cool, and they go alright for a 125 4 stroke.
But omg ive seen some damaged ones too.

if it's anything close to the same size as the cbr 125, then i'd have to wonder. How friggin small is that rider in the last pic?? it looks like he's riding a busa.

We saw some down at our local bike shop the other day and they ain't exactly small.. In fact shorter riders may be better off with the CBR125 as the seat is lower to the ground

Re: 2008 Yamaha YZF-R125 - Photos and Specifications

the're huge!
well they are high, and they are wider than the triumph daytona 675.
They are no cbr125.
If you put R6 decals on them, a non biker would think it was one, its big enough.
