2009 Honda CBF125 - Photos & Specifications

The all new 2009 Honda CBF125 is quite simply an attractive proposition for new riders, and those looking for a round town commuter. Attractive, comfortable and convenient and offered at a price which definitely will not break the bank. PLUS Honda estimate that in these cash strapped times you may be able to get 134 miles to the gallon if you ride economically! A recent road test, although it must be said not riding economically, actually got 120 miles to a gallon of fuel! Wouldn’t we all love to have that kind of fuel economy from our bikes?

This bike is available to the European market from spring 2009, and is expected to become a best seller during 2009. Priced at or under the £2000 mark I doubt the expectations will be far wrong.

The bike, while compact, is still full of features. The fairing design was inspired by Honda’s large semi-faired and naked bikes and incorporates a half fairing and screen, which will offer some measure of protection against wind at speed. The upright riding position will give a reassuring amount of visibility, which is especially good for new riders in busy traffic. The lively fuel injected engine is nippy at low revs and smooth all the way up to the top of the rev range. Handling the bike is so effortless and it will get you around town with ease but still manage well out of town as well.

Steve Martindale, Honda UK's General Manager for motorcycles, says of the bike

Quote:
"The addition of the CBF125 to Honda's range will be a great boost for the UK market with the 125cc sector continuing to grow. The CBF125 combines the best features of Honda's 125cc and naked models from over the years to provide a superb small motorcycle that doesn't compromise style or performance and is also very economical to run.”

*Honda figures obtained in test conditions.

Compact fuel tank complements the sleek, muscular lines and features a Wing graphic that gives it an assertively sporty presence and declares the quality of its heritage.
Neat rear profile is sharply aerodynamic and features a specially designed tail-light and indicator array that’s unique to this motorcycle.
Wedge-shaped tail-light and bright clear lens indicators with amber bulb indicators offer high visibility as well as eye-catching style.

Nice bike. Saw one by Covent Garden not too long ago and had it been available to me I would have certainly considered. However this is where the CBR125R kicks its arse:
