a must have for new riders!

Hey people, I bought a 2001 cbr 929 last may. I got thr bike bug again after not riding nearly 15 years. I started riding on a 1987 cbr F1 hurricane. I rode the bike 2 years with a few really close calls and went down low speed three times. I survived and traded the bike off. It wasnt untill I bought this new bike and started learning how to actually rider with proper techniques that i wonder....WTF.....how did I manage to survive two years on the huricane without this knowledge ???? anyways...I was reading tons of post and one sugested the book TOTAL CONTOL by LEE PARKS. I ordered the book and I have read it cover to cover soo many times now. It covers soo many things that I never even knew or thought about befor reading the book. it has helped me so much in my riding. it even coveres fear and vision and such things I wouldnt have thought about. if your new or still felling unsure on your bike this book is great i think! this is where I ordered it from...

Total Control Advanced Riding Clinic

thought Id share my opinions about this book, its GREAT I wish I would have had it years ago.

I used to have a 1000 hurricane back in the day, all steel frame, heavy as hell and stable. I could never put mine down, where you running on bad tires or something? I even could put the front back down with no damper and off center with out ever getting tank slap.

Good cheap bike to learn on, it says 1000 but it feels like a 500/600. After you mess up the fairings they still look good as a street fighter.

no I had three different times when people pulled out in front of me or ran stop signs and each time I had to get off at low speed to avoid hitting the cars.

last time sucked i had just painted the bike, and got new helmet. girl ran stop sign went wide round corner, almost hit me , would have if I hadn't leaned left and hit the gas.. bike was in little gravel came out from under me... hit ground...back tire spinning, tire hit pavement spun bike like a top...knocked me off my feet, i hit the road with my helmet...saved my head but trashed my new paint on right side and ruined my helmet. she never even stopped
