A Kinder, Gentler, FireBlades.org?
I'm not as wordy as Chain, so this will be fairly short.

Some changes have been made. Nothing big, but still significant.
  • Registered Members can now upload images to the Gallery, and attach them to posts. They are limited to 1meg of space, but this will still allow them to post several images of their bikes/etc; Supporting Members have additional space.
  • Registered Members can now post in the For Sale / Wanted forum. Though, people who join up just to post ads may still be flogged.
  • The wording of our infamous Rule #8 has been changed a bit:

    We have zero tolerance for street stunters, street racers, or anyone else who gives motorcyclists a bad image. There are proper places for that type of thing, and a public street isn't one of them. Don't post material which could reasonably be construed as celebrating or defending these types of activities. News stories, videos, and photos discussing the negative impact these types of motorcyclists have on our sport are permissible, however.

    There are people who use their bikes for stunting, and do it responsibly. So, while we still don't (and won't) have a "Stunting" forum on this site, we will be a little more lenient toward stunters as long as it's done in a controlled environment.

I've been thinking a lot about things lately, and remembered how/why this site was started in the first place; As a free and open forum for sharing information. I'd like it to get back to that. It's grown since then, so it's not possible to make it completely free anymore due to hosting costs. But non-paying members can still get full use of most parts of the site, and partial use of the rest.

There may be other changes too, as they are suggested/noticed.

Conq, not to kiss ass, but I still remember the first time we emailed about the site. heh. This is still one of the only handful of sites I visit regularily, so while I am not a paying member.... I still think what you've done for the Blade community is pretty dang good.
