Just treat her with respect, and listen to your elders (don't forget, we were once stupid and have probably been through (and seen more) than you have so far)
Ride Safe and get a good set of leathers

| Re: Which generation Fireblade do you currently have? Dont worry about splashing out on new stuff, second hand leathers/jackets are ok as long as they are in good nick...
You can even find new old stock on places like eBay, its worth a try as it will save you A LOT of money...
Just what ever you do BUY USED HELMETS.. Nahuh.
SC50 was the best blade....

| Re: Which generation Fireblade do you currently have? in the looks dept i think 954 hands down- best looking generation of course my "opinion" some may vary this order. 929 second then thirdly 08, although it needs a tail. would round out my top 3 with ole school 93 just missing the podium. |

| Re: Which generation Fireblade do you currently have? hi buddy, av had three blades, 99rrx, 02 954, and currently 05 1000rr, in between a tried the v twin malrky and had an 04 sp2. loved them all, cant go wrong wi the big aich on the tank. my own preference would be the 1000rr as i think it moved the goalposts on that wee bit. mind you, the rrx had build quality second to none.
cheers,
ron |

| Re: Which generation Fireblade do you currently have? you know the blade is killer bike no matter which generation when you own two consecutive versions. even i wouldnt mind a 954 to go with my 29...
im heavily eyeing up the deals on 08 models at the moment its tempting but i wanna hold out as i still have love for the ole girl and she puts down plenty of power for legal speeds. its messed up way to feel, cause i hear so many good things about all the newer technology in the current bike. |

| Re: Which generation Fireblade do you currently have? Had a 96 1000F hurricane (F1)
Bought a new, at the time 1000rr and sold the old one.
I had always wanted a 929 & a 954, so after I moved back up north I sold the 1000rr.
I waited for winter prices to come into effect.
The I got the 929.
Right now I'm saving for a 954 and will keep the 929 as a track bike.
I loved/wanted every bike I have owned, it's just that thing that guys do.
You want, you get it, you love it... wait a week you found something else you have to have.
I just got a bimmer in Dec this Dec it will become a Lexus IS300.
Why....because I haven't had one yet.
It's like wanting to F**K some hot chick, after you do the deed.
There's always something next/better/got to do it/ thing. |

Z... | If you think that's bad! Try changing the plugs on an '05 Blade! You have to take off all the fairings, the fuel tank, the air box and the radiator just to get to the damn things! And there are a lot of other little things in between those items. My mate with his '08 ZX-10 laughed about it cause it only takes him 20min to do the job on his.
BUT, I do love my Blade! We did 1/4 miles the other day and I beat his '08 ZX-10. He was very down and could not believe how strong my Blade is. I've had her since new and blasted her full taps from the beginning! |
