I drive a Toyota Prado that I think is sold in the US as a V8 and badged as a Lexus. Great car for this part of the world. |

| Re: What kind of car/s do you drive? Haha. They used to be great little runners, you could throw anything at them and they could survive - within reason.
Where abouts in SE London did you live?
1989 would be the beginning of the round lights I think - typical "Boy Racer / Chav" car these days. The XR2/RS Turbos look very smart.
Ive got more keys outside in the garage and in the workshop, I actually ran out of space so decided to buy more garages and take over the aunts drive

I'm looking to buy a nice small convertible, maybe a Mazda MX5 or similar (always loved the pop up front lights) but first I have to off load some cars and bikes.

Of course I'll have to tastefully modify it, Supercharger, alloys, play around with the engine management a little...

| Re: What kind of car/s do you drive? Just finished putting this into my '77 Chevy 4x4 last weekend. I built the engine three years ago in my free time after school. My grandpa purchased the truck new in '77 and drove it until he died in '02. After that I got it. It had a straight six 250 in it that was good up in the hills because it had monster low end torque but it fell flat on it's face at about 45mph and redlined at about 3500rpm. So I handbuilt this 350 the winter of '04-'05, and completely re-did the interior. I never could afford to actually finish the project (installing the engine) since I got married and started med school. The truck has sat at my dads house in Idaho because I couldn't afford to drive it out to Iowa. He would fire it up and drive it around the block every month or so just so that it kept things lubed. The engine just sat in his garage. I made half-hearted attempts to sell the truck and legit efforts to sell the engine but never had any luck. My dad decided this spring to finance finishing the project as a surprise and present to me. Since I've been home visiting in Idaho for the month I went to my parents house the last three weekends and finally finished the engine swap. It wasn't a direct plug and play conversion from the 250 to the 250 but pretty close. Finally on my third (and final) weekend in Idaho I finished all of the wiring. My dad stood and watched while I turned the key. It immediately fired right up. I had even ballparked the timing to almost dead on. This one is definitely my favorite of my five vehicles, and I only get to see it once a year right now.
The truck has the Corporate 12 bolt rear with posi-trac, the Dana 44 front end, NP205 transfer case, and SMG465 tranny with a 6.55:1 granny gear. I added chrome rims and BF Goodrich Mud Terrain tires. It will go almost anywhere. The body is a little rough so I don't feel bad about driving it literally almost anywhere!!
As a child my grandpa had an old camper in the back of the truck and we camped in almost every state in the West in it. My favorite was the yearly trips to Island Park, Idaho to camp at the Coffeepot campground and fly fish the Henry's Fork of the Snake river.

| Re: What kind of car/s do you drive? 93 cavalier coupe - First car, got it from my sister for $1500, worked my ass off for that car.
89 suburban 2500HD - Original Price was 800, got it pushed down to 500 saying ill clean it myself. That thing was a mess in the interior. Engine and all that were in good shape. This was probably the most fun ive ever had with a vehicle. It had a giant brush guard that we would 'test' the quality of on small trees, unattended shopping carts ect.
97 Deodge intrepid - I dont suggest ever buying one of these, it was cheap, and quick, needed a car that night for an 'expedition' i was going on for culinary school.
03 Inifiniti G35 Coupe - After Iraq the first time, this was kind of a 'present' to myself. More or less an impulse buy. The guy at the dealership had me lured and baited from the start. I was hooked the minutes after he said 'you want to drive it?' |

In a time of unsure and questionable politics, the service men and women are overlooked for not so simply setting aside their opinion, and doing their jobs. So, thanks to you and your unit.

PS- I almost got pegged on a G35 too. Bought a 325i instead. |
