| Ink.. Looked up tattoo threads and the 'youngest' one is over 2 years old so rather than unearth an old thread I thought I would start this...
How many of us have tattoos, how many, what are they and where are they.. and why did you get them done.. photos would be good too
I'll start..
My fave tattoo is a dragon done in UV ink on my face, on right hand side from forehead to chin, it cant be seen in normal daylight but its my fave because its so unusual..
I have dragons done all over my back, and top of both arms, flowers round my wrists, chinese symbols on my right ankle and a chinese dragon on my left with chinese flowers above it.. |

| Re: Ink.. Fist off, Kudos on the UV ink! it's hard to find good UV in the States, and I'm desperately in need of some...But I degress. I have a tribal cross with a guitar inside on my right shoulder and a Polish Eagle in front of an Italian flag on my left shoulderblade. And not that you asked, but in the spirit of body mods, I have a barbell through my nethers. |

| Re: Ink.. Ink on the face, woman you are hardcore. No wonder SSB is so scared of you. I love chicks(sorry I mean ladies) with ink. My wife has a couple pieces done. A lot of guys think it looks dirty, but I think it's sexy when ladies are all tatted up. I don't have any yet, but I definitley want some. I just haven't figured out exactly what I want yet. My wife is Hawaiian and wants to get one done the traditional way with the bone and tapping. I think she's nuts, but whatever floats her boat. |

Sideshow thought I was nuts to get it done in case, like he says, it scarred.. It didnt .. I ate really healthily for about six weeks before, plus took vitamin supplements, so I was in good nick, plenty of face cream for 6 weeks so my skin was in good condition and then had it done.. I looked like I had been smacked round the face with a brick for a day or 2, but it was totally healed within a week.. no sign at all apart from the design as white lines on my face, and a few sunbed sessions soon took care of that..
I also like the idea of the traditional way of doing them, its just finding someone here who will do it that way.. Quote:

It didn't really hurt that much either (forehead was the worst part as your skin is very thin there), it made my eye water a bit when he did under my right eye but other then that it was less painful than some of my back.. |

It has to be something that means something to you in some way.. most of mine are dragons as I love them, and my wrist ones are flowers as I wanted something pretty there (SSB reckoned it was more of my midlife crisis stuff!!) |

| Re: Ink.. Not a good picture and was taken with my phone.
Long time ago when I was active my group decided to get the same tattoo.
It's a shield with the German flag in the background and skull with a cross hair on it's forehead.

| Re: Ink.. I only have 2 but would not be without them. First one at 40. ( mid life crisis?) My daughter has 2 tats with 4 or so piercings that I know of. My son has 3 or so and is just about finished getting one laser removed of the best dragon tatoo I think I have seen, costing him an absolute fortune. |

| Re: Ink.. i have 2. one on either bicep. left arm is a Celtic cross that is actually a gravestone in ireland. the right arm is my family crest. both in black and white. not a fan of color. to me a tattoo should only be done if it has meaning to you in some form and if it does then it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks of it. my next one is a bible quote and im going to get it done in a gaelic text on a scroll down the right side of my rib cage |

Good tats Loopy and SSB. Not into colour myself, funny either are the son and daughter. Did'nt know about UV tats. Interesting! I'll put mine up here as soon as I get the box brownie sorted. |

| Re: Ink.. I had a really good deal with tattoos for a while.. I was my tattooists cleaner and instead of being paid in £££ I was paid in tattoos... It was brilliant and how I financed most of the ones I have now
It saved me a fortune.. my back alone took 14 hours (spread over time) and at £40 an hour would have cost sh*t loads.. |

Excuse me looking like a dork in the mirror. The animal one was the first one I got when I was about 25 some 13 years ago. The one in the middle of my back I got a couple years ago when my best friend left for GITMO. He got the same thing on his shoulder. The wing is something he drew years ago when we were about 17 and I said "one day I will get that as a tat" When he got stationed in GITMO we decided to get them. |
