Consequences of bad obs -Warning very graphic-

You were warned so no complaining, your here at your own choice.

This is a very graphic example of riding without good obs, Im hoping for those (especially new and newish riders) that this will make you seriously pay attention to your environment at all time.

Indeed. You need eyes everywhere when on a bike.

It's hard to make out if the rider is actually in the wrong though? Did he (or she) change lanes without looking, or did they just get hit from behind?

It's terrible... I was actually wonder what "obs" was... observation, now I understand.

There's an extra dimention to the footage for me - the words were Chinese. I have a feeling that the film was taken in Taiwan.

I got this in an email a while back and there is a lot more to it let me tell you. It's really graphic as well. I can only hope the poor buggar died quickly.

I think when the lorry hit him he would have blanked out anyway and the rest would have been instant. Really sad part is that the scooter got knocked off to the side but the poor rider got caught up.

Yip couldnt agree more and I did put a warning up. Lets hope somebody (evein just 1) sees it and sharpens their obs.

Yes that did occur to me as well but thought better than to condone being over the limit but it does make an incredible good point for at least staying with the flow.
The other real point is that the lorry driver was not paying attention either but he was well protected, wonder if got prosecuted?

Such a gruesome sight that was, I wouldn't want to have to live with myself if I was that lorry driver.....but then again he might not even give a f**k
