| Re: IS THIS FOR REAL?????? I've seen this type of site before - not sure of the exact mechanics of it, but basicallly you have to pay to bid. Don't think it's cheap either. I think you can only increase the bid by one increment at a time too, so not like eBay where you enter a maximum bid - the next bid is already set. So it'll cost a fortune to bid on something multiple times that you most probably won't win! It's not the type of site I would get involved in personally. IIRC, there was some media interest in this type of site over here a while ago, debating whether or not it was gambling (therefore they'd need to be reglated as a gambling site). |

| Re: IS THIS FOR REAL?????? These sites are not the same as eBay - I don't think anyone can list an item for sale. They are designed to look the same, so people think there are some really good deals available. I just looked at an item on there and each bid is indeed a fixed increment, 1c on the item I saw. For more info on how it works there's a link on the website on the top left area of the screen. If it looks too good to be true, it probably is..... |

| Re: IS THIS FOR REAL?????? this is how it works (i believe) you actually have to purchase bid points in advance and once you enter your bid which is offcourse as per they say is a pennie increment you give away your bid points and the chance of you winng something is 1 in 100. so basically they are selling there bid points in advance and making tons and tons of money in advance. my personal opinion stay away from these kinda sites......  |
