More than a good chance....I am guessing.
Hell, I'll vote for him if it would shut his treasonous ass up while we have troops in harms way.....
He sure isn't thinking about what he is saying...

He sure isn't thinking about what he is saying... | He knows exactly what he's saying. It is important for Kerry to distinguish himself and his policy ideas from Bush/Cheney. We have troops in harms way all over the globe and if we don't change the perception of America which has been so damaged by the arrogant tactics of BushCo, those troops will be the targets of every twisted idiot with a grudge for decades to come. I don't understand the logic that dictates quiet acquiescence in the face of failed policy. That doesn't seem consistent with the principles of democracy. |

Oh, you mean the policy Kerry voted to the assent for, sending troops in under Bush's plan? |

| Re: Go Balloons....Go Balloons.... Sorry ltl, et. al., but all of the rhetoric about flip-flopping is falling on deaf ears at this end. For me, it shows stronger character to admit one's initial mistake/belief regarding a wrong issue, rather than NEVER admitting a mistake. I think you know to whom I'm referring. |

You say that as if quiet acquiescence was the only option...
Explain to me why it's important that Kerry distinguish himself from the Bush policy if it's one he agreed with in the first place. He's a big boy and had to understand the amount of inertia people like him were creating by beating the war drum. In fact with his personal experience, I would say that he was uniquely qualifed to foresee the consequences.....
Now he changes his tune to fit his own personal political gain...?!?!
That makes him worse than Bush....

Bush doesn't feel he made a mistake....nor do a lot of his supporters....

Like Zen pointed out, it is all about politics for Kerry. He has to "distinguish himself" from Bush, so that means going against his prior vote. Kerry is not a man of conviction or morals or really of any kind of stance that I can see, other than what is popular at the moment.
If that piece of **** ends up in the White House, it will be very very interesting to see what he does. The man has never passed a piece of legislation or enacted a program worthy of note. Heaven forbid, when he's in the White House, all this "I'm not Bush" **** ends, and he has to show what kind of man he is....his history shows him to be wanting. |

We have mostly all made up our minds. The undecideds will be the ones who push this election to the right or left - should be quite interesting. But I have another question, one that has not been brought up or discussed much: what about environmental issues? These are very important to me, and Georgie-Porgy and his cronies definitely get a huge "F" on this one. |
