| Re: Flip-flop....flip-flop It is no coincidence that Kerry's flip-flop du jour came just two days after Bush announced the initiative to begin redeploying troops.
Kerry has no opinions of his own. His position is exactly opposite whatever the current administration's position is, except in cases where he feels the public wouldn't support (Kerry's) stance, in which case he agrees with the current administration's position, but claims that when he's President, he'll do things better. Of course, we're still waiting for details on exactly HOW he's going to do it better... |

| Re: Flip-flop....flip-flop I've worked with a lot of guys like John Kerredy....you probably have too...
They can always tell you what's wrong with something, always tell you how they would do it.....yadda yadda....but if you look at their past performance and track record, there's nothing of substance...

Of course, we're still waiting for details on exactly HOW he's going to do it better... | This has been my point regarding the Left politicians for the last two years. There hasn't been anything of substance coming from them; they've simply established a stand from which to oppose Bush and have stood firm until exhausted. Then they move to the next one and repeat. It happened during the invasion of Iraq and it has intensified now that the Presidential chair is up for grabs.
Voters have made it clear that national security is the issue for this year's race. There's nothing the Left can offer that seems more appealing to the people than what is currently being done. The decision to invade Iraq has been debated and people love or hate Bush for it but our national defense against a real terrorist threat seems to be more important than the other issues.
So, who do you vote for? Bush has shown his resolve towards terrorism. His methods and actions may or may not be right but he's made it clear that terrorism is a real threat and he will face it. What is Kerry offering that's different? He feels that the UN should dictate how we can and can't respond to this threat. One candidate promises resolve, the other promises to involve the UN first.
Remember, a lot of this is to distract voters from the fact that Kerry is the most Liberal Senator based on his voting record. He is as far Left as you can get in the Senate, and the 30-whatever percent in the undecided block will tend to favor moderation over an extreme political tilt (to either end). |

But if Kerry can keep his campaign 99% focused on other things, such as the ridiculous debate over the honor of his Vietnam service, then he just might be able to avoid having to answer the tough questions.
BTW, John...Vietnam was over thirty years ago. Fine - you argue that you served honorably? Great! I'll even overlook the fact that you were only in Vietnam for four months. (What happened to a two-year tour?) And what about that whole anti-war movement after the war? What about criticizing your fellow soldiers for alleged improper behavior, and then during your early-day flip-flops, admitting that you also participated in some of this improper behavior? Wouldn't that improper behavior kinda offset - or even OUTWEIGH - any honorable service you might have done in your 120 days at war? And finally, as Rush was so correct to point out, if you change your story repeatedly - as you've done several times now with varying and conflicting accounts of your own stories about your war experiences - then one or more of those stories, by definition, are lies.
Give it up, John. God help us if this country is stupid enough to elect a man to serve as President when he can't even be consistent with his own lies. When it comes down to it, if Bush lied about anythng, at least he's been consistent and shown some resolve and backbone. And that - in the minds of those WITH minds - has got to make a difference.
Rant over. Thank you, Conq, for this forum. What would I do with all this pent-up frustration otherwise? |

Really? What will Kerry do differently? He's promised everything and nothing. He believes this and then that. He says this and that. His beliefs and latest stance are exactly 180 degrees from whatever is going on with the Bush cabinet. The only thing we've heard from Kerry in the last 3 months is his war-record.
That's the funny thing. Some people are either so far Left or so full of hate towards Bush that they'll put THE most Liberal politician there is in charge of our country simply to get rid of him. |

They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,
No-one you see, is smarter than he,
And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,
Flying there-under, under the sea!
Everyone loves the king of the sea,
Ever so kind and gentle is he,
Tricks he will do when children appear,
And how they laugh when he's near!
They call him Flipper, Flipper, faster than lightning,

And we know Flipper, lives in a world full of wonder,

My soul doesn't come that cheap..... Let me ask you this question.... Truthfully, and without looking at the internet, do you know who George Soros is?
And do you understand the impact he has made upon shaping the very opinion you posted above?

What I am sure of is the fact that bush (god, I literally gag just thinking that name, let alone typing it) is a blatant criminal. All he represents is big business and his cronies, not you or I. You will never convince me that this wasn't a personal war, and that our brothers and sisters are over there dying for no good reason. Whatever Kerry might do as President, it will have to be a vast improvement over the slime bag currently running our country. How can you people look at the current state of affairs and not be totally pissed off?! Does no one give a **** about the environment? Health benefits? Illegal immigration? Tax cuts for the rich? And on and on and on and on........... |

| Re: Flip-flop....flip-flop Kerry is the true criminal that supports and answers to no one but big business and his own cronies. He exploits everything he touches for his own personal gain.
As for Bacchy's typical tired bullshit, kerry fully supports the war. according to his latest flop. Bush has never done anything with the power of President to support his own cronies, so it's just typical extremist mud slinging without merit. No difference between bacchus and michael moore.
Kerry committed war crimes, committed felonies here on home soil, has pujured himself on the Senate floor on numerous occasions, and hides behind Soros and moveon.org at every chance.
Kerry should be serving a prison term right now, and would be absolutely and completely worthless as President. He has no spine, and would turn our sovereignty over to anyone and everyone before doing anything to improve America.
Health benefits? Not up to the government. kerry and his bunk-mate edwards will further destroy the American Health care system.
The environment? All an extremist fairy-tale. Bush has done nothing to hurt the environment and has tried to pass legislation to help it, blocked by the ass party.
Tax cuts for the rich? Yet another parrotted left wing extremist buzzword. Who are "ther rich" according to your own agenda bacchy? Quit parrotting kerry and the ass party and come up with something for yourself. EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT PAYS TAXES RECEIVED A CUT! did those that make more money save more money? Sure, but that's because they paid more in the first place. Simple economics and math, lost on the idiot extreme left.
The top 50% of wage earners paid 96% of all taxes, of course someone making $100K is gonna save more than someone making $25K, they are paying more in the first place.
Moron. |
