I am not going to ban anyone nor will I get anyone banned. I'm not a moderator. Your silly attitude will either get you banned or ignored.

You never answered my question -- would you consider yourself to be a Communist?

First time on the political website .

It's still raining cats and dogs in London in August and I blame the politicians.

(Do you have to blame particular politicians to join the thread, or will "politicians" be acceptable?)

Kerry's going to get at least 40% of the vote for this very reason. Very few have ever given concrete reasons for believing Kerry to be a good choice to lead the country. All I ever hear is "anyone but Bush". While a large number of those are hard-core Liberals, some are those with more moderate points of view. They're going to try and elect an ultra Left-winger to lead our country. Helloooooo socialized medicine and goodbye property rights...

Given the hostility of the race I would expect a large turnout on voting day.

I'm thinking about being as angry as Lexus, he really seems to be enjoying life. I'll start small though, like being pissed off at the garbage men for not scrubbing out my garbage cans after they're done emptying them. Those rich bastards have abused their power too long!! Hey! This is the Political Forum, we're here to strictly talk about how my taxes pay the cop's salaries, therefore they work for me and should come over and mow my lawn (the lazy, good-for-nothin' sons of bitches).

Now, if you want to talk bad about the Cubs, you're going to have to do it at Wrigley Field where we can drop cement chunks on your head.

Last day of August, London, IT'S NOT RAINING. Oh, and our slower 100m runners beat the US in the relay. Can I rescind my complaints about politicians, they are clearly doing everything right.

Mark Twain used to say that a banker is a fellow who lends you an umbrella, but takes it back from you as soon as it starts raining.

You can't justify those deaths. Ever. But can someone give us evidence that it was Iraq behind the attack. I seem to recall that nearly all the murderers were Saudi citizens. Iraqi funding? Logistical support?

BTW Old Fogey sun is shining, it's abeautiful day here in Buckinghamshire.

Re: got a problem with the goverment?

Hi Proto, yes the sun is shining in London on this last day of August.

It rained every day of the bank holiday weekend in Yorkshire, especially when we went walking. But not when we were inside the church for the several events of the flower festival, like the saxophone concert by a former member of Supertramp, or the visit up the bell tower to view the bells which (naturally) need money for refurbishment, or the organ concert in aid of the organ fund for its refurbishment. Those old churches, they sure are expensive to run. Worse than bikes?

Re: got a problem with the goverment?

Oh, and there never was any proof of connection between the Iraqi government of the tyrant Saddam and the mostly Saudi perpetrators of 9/11 of which I am aware.

There is, however, proof of connection between the staff of number 10 Downing Street and the statement issued by Tony Blair in the house of commons which told MPs that Iraq was capable of a launch of weapons of mass destruction within 45 minutes. Which statement persuaded sufficient uncommitted MPs to vote with the Labour government to enable the critical bill to pass. That statement, as we all know now, was and is a load of tosh.

I don't believe it!! You mean we were duped!! Shocking!!!

You're having me on. Next thing you'll be telling that no Weapons of Mass Destruction were found in Iraq. Everyone knows they are there (well BDA knows, but he's not telling).
