| Rockers Against Bush - Treason? Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, James Taylor and others are going to be touring in various swing-vote regions in the coming months to rally the faithful against George W. Bush.
Old-school rocker Alice Cooper disagrees with the tactic:
"To me, that´s treason," Cooper told the Winnipeg (Canada) Free Press. " I call it treason against rock ´n´ roll, because rock is the antithesis of politic. Rock should never be in bed with politics."
[Cooper is a diehard Republican who hangs around with Sen. John McCain at Phoenix Suns games.]
"If you´re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you´re a bigger moron than they are," Cooper ranted. "Why are we rock stars? Because we´re morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal."
"Besides," Cooper continued, "when I read the list of people who are supporting Kerry, if I wasn´t already a Bush supporter, I would have immediately switched. Linda Ronstadt? Don Henley? Geez, that´s a good reason right there to vote for Bush." I love it! No more Mr. Nice Guy! |

Bush is a criminal, if he was a Demo, he would have been impeached by now. Kerry isn't all that, but anything is better than Dubya. |

No way dude, the dems would give their left nut to impeach the man, but there's a problem he's not done anything impeachable! You know, like perjuring yourself as did a certain recent president...

This president lied too but about much bigger things. He can blame his 'information' if he wants. What is worse, screwing an intern,or screwing the country? |

| Re: Rockers Against Bush - Treason? Bush has done nothing criminal, kerry has done multiple things criminal. In fact, by his own admission and testimony, he should be tried as a war criminal in the world court.
Kerry is a felon, and an international criminal. The waste of sperm shouldn't be holding any office, but because he's a dem, he gets a free pass on everything. |

If he had, he'd be drug out and tried for it.
I don't care what Clinton lied about, the man lied under oath to the Supreme Court. That is completely inexcusable. He is the man that chooses the judges and the leader of the democratic system which relies on due process of law. And he refused to submit to that system.
I don't like Bush hiding behind the (spitting the words) Patriot Act but I honestly don't think he's lied.

Mr. Kerry's anti-war agitation after returning from Vietnam, however, is unambiguous. As a leader of the Jane Fonda-funded VVAW, Mr. Kerry insisted U.S. soldiers were guilty of widespread atrocities and war crimes. Testifying on national television before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations committee in April, 1971, about "the absolute horror of what this country ... made them do," he claimed soldiers he knew had "personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power...razed villages in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan...poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam." He called American actions in Vietnam "the height of criminal hypocrisy." Even before he decided to run for president, veterans of the North Vietnamese prison camps reported that Mr. Kerry's Senate testimony was used by their captors to demoralize them and that they were tortured into signing confessions that they knew Mr. Kerry's remarks to be true. | |

Honestly brother, do you think that Kerry's "free health care for everyone" and "tax the rich" policies will help or hurt this country? What Bush is guilty of is spending like a Liberal. There's no doubt about that. For whatever reason, he's abandoned the traditional Conservative post of smaller Government and is spending freely. That's bad. Kerry wants to grow the Government even faster but his spending will revolve around social programs designed to bring more people into Government dependency. Furthermore, he wants the UN to decide whether or not we should respond militarily to a particular threat. Will that help or hurt us? |

Yeah. I want someone with an energy policy between Bush's and Nader's. Carter was able to create an oil glut (with the prompting of OPEC of course), and it'd be nice to see another pres take this seriously before we come into the same situation again.
I won't include Kerry, he'll just say he won't do what Bush is. |

| Re: Rockers Against Bush - Treason? My 2 main complaints with Bush are:
1) Using the war to push a social agenda aka the Patriot Act. That just sucks.
2) Cutting taxes while increasing spending running a defecit. Liberals want to increase taxes and spending. I want to see the taxes cut along with services. But since everyone in this country seems to think the government owes them something...
I don't think the government should borrow money for anything but infrastructure (under which I include education) and threat of foreign invasion. And when I say that I mean, somebody is clearly putting together a force to take us on.

The more I hear about Kerry, the more I don't like actually, but I'm still going to vote for him (not like I really need to in this state, we all know how this state will go) because I dislike the current guy that much.
In all honesty, I don't like either candidate, I think they are both schmucks.
Edit: His war record, I'm tired of hearing about it. Whatever happened, he was there at least. Same can't be said about the other guy.
