This is quite the joke

And in Iran, there was laughter and mocking. Even using this worthless "threat" as toilet paper.
Ooooh, Oh no, not the big bad worthless EU. Gasp!!! They'll refer Iran to the absolutely worthless and completely laughable UN Security Council!!
Khamenei must be celebrating right now. Thanks to this, Iran now has plenty of time and all the protection needed to complete their nuclear weapons program.
That is, unless the only country with the balls and ability to actually do anything about it stops them.
Just like with Iraq, the pussy countries will agree the problem must be taken out, put in a deadline, then promptly back away as the U.S. does the work, then the axis of pussies will scream and yell at the U.S. for actually being man enough to follow through instead of cowering like them.

Meanwhile in the back room a call is placed to Israel informing them of the coordinates of the nuke facility. It is also conveyed that the United States will "look the other way" if they were to scramble a couple of strike eagles and wipe out the nuke facility.

I forgot which other country that the Israelies did the same to?

The (French made) Osiriak reactor in Iraq.

I don't think this president would have Israel be our military proxy. First, He doesn't want to owe Sharon any favors, when we're still trying for a roadmap out of hell over there. Remember, we didn't want Israel to defend themselves if they got scudded..

Nothing will happen until after the election, but If W gets re elected, watch for the Iranians to cool it. Otherwise, they'll push the envelope for sure. The question is whether W will take it out between Nov and Jan if he loses.

It's not a matter of Israel being our military proxy... It's more like try to stop them from a pre-emptive strike on the nuke facility just to save their butts. They struck Iran back in the early eighties. From what I read somewhere.... our advisors have already said they will not try to stop Israel from striking. Many believe that the proximity of a greater military force is why this is still an issue. If we were not in the region...it would have been another exercise for the Israelis.

Interesting that the reactor is French. The French are foremost in nuclear power production as the country has but little natural resources. They even sell their electricity to other nations. My take is that the frenchies are in bed with the Iranian nuclear weapons program. Why couldn’t they help build a less threatening facility more likely to not get bombed?

Here is a quick Google on Israel, nuclear and strike.
