I figure, if a person has been sucessful in their own businesses, then they can run a government sucessfully as well. As long as there are lawyers in office that have their own views and ideas, no legislature will ever pass that would put their fellow law school buds out of work... It'll never happen. |
This is a good point. In my opinion, someone who was very successful in business or as a military officer (especially) has a solid base to be a good leader of this country because they know what most all good leaders know, and that is that they don't know everything. A good officer surrounds himself with a solid core of NCOs, from which he gathers direction and advice before making a decision. I would think/hope that a good President would do the same thing with his immediate Cabinet.
