Here's my take on last night's debate.
First of all, I may have to let Halliburton go. Maybe BDA was right after all in that no other company could even do the job and that it was just a coincidence Cheney was CEO. I'm not keen on the job they're doing or the scandals/investigations, but I'll let Halliburton die in my conspiracy mind, although it's not easy.
Ok, Cheney handled himself very well (kinda scary actually, the guy is no non-sense) and Edwards stumbled quite a bit and kept repeating Kerry's debate comments verbatim.
Points - the gay and lesbian voters will not be happy with either party. Draw.
Although my jaw dropped when Edwards brought Cheney's gay daughter into the debate.

That was a low blow, I can't believe he did that. And Cheney's rebuttal? "Thanks for the kind words about my family"?

That was it?!!! Was he being sarcastic? I felt that was uncalled for and so far none of the media is even commenting on it. Tasteless.
Economy/jobs - Cheney skirted the whole issue and Edwards even joked about which issue Cheney was commenting on. Edwards "plan" seemed very vague, but at least he recognized the loss of jobs where Cheney was off talking about blacks were starting to score closer to majority (white?) kids in school?

What the hell does that have to do with Ohio losing 225,000 jobs?
Edwards did score with "Saddam having little if any ties with AlQuida".
Cheney seemed to trip over himself with conflicting comments of "Iraq being the center of terrorism" and Edwards responded with "60 countries have AlQuida presence, why is Iraq the center if it's now known to have no ties?"
Cheney's continous ringing of his hands made me nervous. I'm not sure if he's being untruthful, nervous, or if he's doing his Bogart imitation and asking for a strawberry investigation. Edwards was apparently thirsty, as he kept pretending to drink from his coffee cup over and over again. Is that a bottomless cup?
Cheney scored repeatedly with Edwards supposed voting record and his sometimes absent political participation.
I was left with, although I do not support Bush, he is very fortunate to have Cheney as Vice President in this election. Kerry/Edwards may have lost some points (IMO) but the next debate may bring it back to even. Edwards, appears to me, to be a little fake and Cheney seems as though he would not blink an eye before going to war with another country.
The moderator could have done a little better as she kept confusing "Senator" with "Vice President" and got confused as to who's turn it was for the question. She also didn't make the parties stick to the question at times.
