Sadam brought this on himself. Nukes may not have ever been there, but we KNOW he had WMD and USED them at times in the past. Pretence aside, the world is a better place now that he is out.

Sometimes it is good to be wrong. Had he possessed operational chemical weapons he would probably have used them (has in the past) on our troops. Or donated them to terrorists for deployment in say LA, New York, Chicago, Detroit, etc. Of course we could have waited until it became true then had many more mass graves, maybe even some in the US or Europe.

The big difference between the threat posed by the Soviets or even China is that those people had more sane heads in control at any given moment.
