WTF? your kidding surely. It wasnt like they were sitting round the peace pipe and couldnt be bothered, they believed that the support wasnt sufficient and their vehicles were sub-standard. At what point are they allowed to question their orders? Or do they just follow blindly? Surely everything that can be done to lower the potential for harm should be done. Its sounds as tho this wasnt the case. This doesnt sound like treason, more like common sense. The article states no one has been detained which suggests maybe they were right.

If it turns out they're just a bunch of yellow bellies then court martial them. But perhaps find out if they had good reason to refuse.

Re: Soldiers disobeying orders in Iraq.

Heard this story on the news this evening. It does sound like a suicide mission, and just asking to be ambushed.

Having said that, many a soldier have been lost on un-winnable situations that had to be attempted. How do we not know that the convoy wasn't a decoy for something more important (well, I've seen one many war movie maybe?).

I think disciplinary action is in order.... Just not sure to what extent.

They did refuse to follow orders, and it would be bad to be set as a precedence if they got off scott free.
