Fallujah: Phantom Fury?

Anyone know why the operation underway in Fallujah is called "Phantom Fury"....

Beats attack plan #54GA4

I think the real truth is that they need a name for comm and planning purposes and they try to have something cool sounding (if it is or not I will leave to minds better than mine).

Re: Fallujah: Phantom Fury?

phantom: seen, heard but with no physical reality; illusive; something dreaded or dispised

fury: violent anger, violent uncontrolled action; a state of violent mental agitation

Not sure if they are referring to the well hidden/elusive insurgents or the fact that they won't know what hit them as we approach. Fury, well, yeah, they won't know what hit them...

Re: Fallujah: Phantom Fury?

I think it would be great if after the US rounds up all of the foreign fighters from fallujah i.e. the Iranians and Saudis, that we officially ask each country what they would like us to do with them. Those backwood ****s would have no idea how to respond.
