Firstly my comment on the muslims was brought about the angry response to the guy wearing the t-shirt. You don't think he sees americans in a different light now, this is great PR for america to show a muslim country who aren't keen on the west what where all about
Secondly I am not American bashing, I am an American, and my response to the 35 million in initial aid was from an americans point of view living abroad
Third as a generalisation, most americans have never heard of many of these places let alone travelled there, very few.
Truth is the American death toll is extremely low, infact I have not even heard of any americans being killed or missing.
The point of this is, americans aren't dying, this is a place on the other side of the world with no direct ties to most americans lives...but...the people do give a dammn and they are contributing, I think the only real stuff up is the fact the government probably didn't even count on such an immediate and large outpouring for the people effected.
So again, lets all chill, where all apart of this and where all contributing the best we can. |
