The Right to Bear Arms

A polite society is an armed society.

In March, a 32-year-old Novi woman, who had a permit to carry a small-caliber pistol in her purse, pulled it out and stopped a man with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun from taking her $40,000 diamond ring and Rolex watch. The would-be robber in the Farmington Hills office parking lot ran, but was captured by police.

That's exactly right. Then you call the police, and wait for them to show up.
Nobody should be allowed to protect themselves by carrying a gun like a coward.
Long live Feinstein!!

Re: The Right to Bear Arms

I know what you mean figment...but I believe a con is a convict right?

American Rifleman has a page dedicated to these types of stories every issue. They usually prove interesting reading.

On the same topic, I found a very interesting 2nd amendment article yesterday that is from a Yale law journal. As you'll see in the link, the author is a self professed "card carrying" ACLU member, liberal, and in general, an extraordinarily arrogant person (law professor). Yet he argues, that despite the fact the 2nd amendment is almost ignored by Constitutional Scholars, that doesn't mean it is not important.

I found it on a different site, but I don't know if it has good bandwidth. Here's another site with the article.

If you want a truly polite society, bring back duelling swords.
