This is kinda scary. I wonder if we have historical data from polls like this and can see a shift.

What's interesting is that they thought some censorship in the mass media was good, and that censorship in music and school papers is bad.

I wonder if this is a natural evolution (you realize those freedoms you want on campus are more important in the real world as you mature) or the kids just are different.

I also wonder how current events have effected this stuff. Music/radio/TV censorship has gotten stupid with the religious right's empowerment of late.

And the world news in Iraq shows the full horror of war some might not want to see..

I don't think the public system really teaches government basics or Constitutional basics any longer. That system needs an enema, and something like the basics of United States government should be a required class. I'm amazed at how little most college students really know about the Constitution or the government structure compared to what they think they know.
Scary that the high school system doesn't even give students the basic knowledge one should have by voting age.
