Now Chain, had you posted the exact text the man was fired over, this might have made my replies a little different. For instance, I was mislead. He didn't call them petty thieves and criminals, he merely compared them to the same, and in the context of their mode of communication. I think this changes my mind on the whole issue. I still think more tact could have been used here, but I don't think that he accused them of being criminals. It's all about context, and I think the people crying foul are not reading this properly.

How about rephrasing the statement "A bunch of grown men and women, supposedly leaders, acting like petty criminals trying to conceal some kind of crime."

into something like

"Think about it, a bunch of grown men and women, supposedly leaders, using similar tactics as petty criminals trying to conceal some kind of crime."
