| Roberts Confirmation Hearings Finally got a chance to watch some of the Roberts hearings...and now understand why the Lefties are so opposed to him. He's head and shoulders more intelligent than any 3 of them combined...

| Re: Roberts Confirmation Hearings I tried, but I just can't stomach watching those confirmation hearings. When will Feinstein go away?
The guy should get the job for sitting through this "questioning" without blowing a vein. |

| Re: Roberts Confirmation Hearings Anyone see the rookie Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma doing the crossword during the hearings? It was on Leno last night. What an embarassment for the people of Oklahoma. We (not me) elect this idiot to represent us and he cant even pay attention to one of the most important hearings he will probably ever see. I frickin hate politicians. |

The guy should get the job for sitting through this "questioning" without blowing a vein. | Watching politicians speak is usually a sickening experience. |

| Re: Roberts Confirmation Hearings Ended up watching/listening to quite a bit of the hearings...pretty awesome display imho...
I think he is a lock with the moderates and conservatives...but it sounds as if the far left is still playing politics with the issue.
I predict that a no vote from the Dems will be viewed as purely obstructionist, and will actually erode some of their party base...
At any rate, it was a fascinating look at a compressed event that can affect our lives for quite some time to come...

| Re: Roberts Confirmation Hearings I loved his line about judges not promising favors for votes like politicians do.
Don't have the exact verbiage, but that was the gist.
That and his statement of judges not being lawmakers tell me he is perfect for the job. |

| Re: Roberts Confirmation Hearings The real interesting thing is the ext nominee. The leftists think that they should get a comparably moderate communist as a replacement. Bush is just lame enough he might do it |
