It's so much more fun to get someone in a creative way. Politicians are the best at this.

Example: Churchill was abused in the HoC by a young member, and he's at home later that night, uh, reading, on the loo. The young man shows up to apologize, and the servant knocks on the door telling Churchill he's there.

Churchill could've said: "Tell that asshole to go home"

instead he thought for a second and said

"Tell him I can only handle one **** at a time"

No name calling, but totally priceless.

What SPY wasn't too bad, far worse has been said on the board, that's for sure.

But aussie_929 normally isn't name calling (other than "ignorant" which we all use on occasion in "Politics") and none of us should be. And I try to point it out when I can. This is despite my personal agreement (or not) of the poster's comments.

I seem to be the only mod that really tries to stay on top of it, but I think it's important.

You can thoroughly pound someone into the ground without name calling. You just have to use more advanced methods of argument. See my above example.

joining this party a bit late but....

#1 chemical weapons have been found in iraq as were the infastructure to produce them

-there was just not nearly as much as was expected (the commie left media just ignores that the political left says there were none there)

#2 to say that there was no terrorist elements in iraq prior to 9-11 is wrong

-Al-zaquari ... abu-sayyf ... al-queda and others directly and indirectly assisted by saddams government ..pre and post 9-11

-muhammad atta was in the iraqi embassy in berlin prior to the 9-11 attacks...sure he was just getting some tea

-saddam paid money to the families of suicide bombers

#3 the justifaction

- saddam possessed and used chemical and biological weapons before...more importantly he was willing to pass that information along (see abu-syaaf)
- saddam openly stated his willingness to attack america
- saddam has shown intrest in nuclear capacity
- saddam broke Un resolution 687 (the 1st gulf war cease fire)
- "severe consequnces" were authorized (by every memeber of the Un security council ...even france) by UN resolution 1441

so of the countries in question...iraq, iran, syria ..in 2003 (NK is a puppet of china and will not be solved until the chinese want it to be)

only iraq had shown blatant disregard for the UN (for 12 years), violated it's cease fire agreement (100's of times), shown open support for terrorists, had KNOWN chemical weapon capacity, and said we will destroy america

yes iran is next...where do you think the IED's in iraq come from?

so if you think that iraq is bad idea...ok your right...but be glad that you guys were'nt around in the 40's...because we'd all be speaking german

make no mistake the muslim terrorists are at war with us....we'd better wake up and take the gloves off...or learn to bow east 5 times a day
