They have the same people watching over every arriving flight looking for people that fit a particular profile. Specifically, they're looking for Arabic men traveling alone. They pull them aside the moment they step off of the plane and they start questioning them. The same can be said for every entry point into the country.

People who want to fly out of Tel Aviv are warned in advance to get there early for security. Those who don't fit the profile spend much less time at the "interrogation" tables than those who do. That's just the way it is and it works.

Re: My faith in Australia...

There have been a few problems with devout muslims...for example some were harrasing a ballet school and verbally abusing 4-12 yo girls in thier dance gear becuase they are exposing more than thier laws dictates. Branding the school as a whore house, many of the parents took thier kids out of the school as it become worse and worse. The cops are powerless to do anything for fear of being un-PC and escallating the problem. But by the most part its all good.

1 director and 2 others are islamic at my work...no problems there. Actually one of them is a problem but thats just becuase he is a dickhead and the nephew of the director and can get away with that kind of ****.

Still the mosques are the only ones that block off streets and have roving security guards during services while all the other places of worship carry on with business as usual.

It's worse than that. Our lovely Gestapo stops EVERYONE, every single, tired sore, stinkin' person, and checks their passport at the GATE getting off the plane. Then you get your luggage. Then you goto customs for that grilling. Then dept of ag. Another couple of people check your paperwork.

Then you can get out of the terminal.

It is stupid.

Re: My faith in Australia...

Why just the radical muslims...how about the radical christians(ie The Army of God, Operation rescue and the like) who feel that the bible laws are superior to the gov. imposed ones here in the USA. They feel that it is ok to kill doctors or block legal clinics if you are doing it in the name of god. I really dont see the difference in the two.

Re: My faith in Australia...

The must be dealt with quickly because I've not heard of anything like that. Might just be a local problem at your end.

That would be nice, but the people in the christian groups look like the majority of people in the states. Then we are back to "****in with whitey". The muslem group are a smaller group of people to keep an eye on.

Just my
